Hello, my name is Juan. I’m 14 years old and I live in Paraguay. I like sleeping, eating, using the computer and playing rugby. Paraguay is a rather primitive country compared to other countries. but it’s an old country with many traditions; for example the drinks: in winter we drink "mate" and in the summer "terere" both are made with “yerba mate” but mate is drunk with warm water and terere with cold water. The winters are rather cold and the summers are very warm. It gets to 43 degrees Celsius and in the winter it gets to 7 degrees. The most popular sport is football and there are many fields where football is played. It’s very normal to have a family lunch on Friday. There are quite a lot of things to do but it is not as much as in other countries. The country is separated in departments or provinces. Most of the country’s economy depends on cattle and meat is one of the main export products.

  1. 43 degrees! It is incredible!!! The highest temperature here is 35 degrees. But it is very humid. In winter, it rarely gets under zero degree. So it become freezing. I know soccer is the most popular sport there. But I didn't know Rugby is played in Paraguay. Thank you for lots of information! From Yota
